93.7 · THE PROGRAMME GUIDE
Radio on your iPad.
Short answer: yes. Radio Dad is one universal app, so the globe you spin on your iPhone opens up on your iPad with nothing extra to buy. Same download, same subscription. Here is what the bigger screen adds, and where a Mac fits.

On iPad
The iPad is where the globe stretches out. The planet gets a proper canvas, so tuning feels less like working a phone and more like turning the real thing on a desk. Discover and Podcasts open into two columns when there is room, so you see more of the world at once instead of one long scroll, and detail screens keep their text at a reading width instead of running wall to wall.
It holds all four orientations, so it sits as happily in landscape on a stand or a keyboard as it does upright. And it never forces full screen: run it in Split View, Slide Over or Stage Manager and keep a station playing next to your notes, your browser, your mail. It needs iPadOS 18 or later, and it is the same download as the iPhone app. One purchase of nothing covers both.

And on a Mac?
Radio Dad is built and tested for iPhone and iPad. Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later) can install the iPad version from the Mac App Store, where it is listed as Designed for iPad and not verified for macOS. It may run fine, but I have not tested it on a Mac, so I don't promise it.
DAD BEING STRAIGHT WITH YOU
On any Mac, Intel included, the web player is the sure thing: the globe and the live stations in a browser tab, free, no install, no account.
The web player is not a consolation prize, either. It works in any modern browser on any machine, whether or not you have the app. Every station streams directly from the broadcaster, same as it does everywhere else.
What each screen gets
| What you get | iPhone | iPad |
|---|---|---|
| The spin-to-tune globe | Yes | A bigger canvas |
| Discover and Podcasts | One column | Two columns when there is room |
| Orientation | Portrait and landscape | All four |
| Multitasking | One screen at a time | Split View, Slide Over, Stage Manager |
| Live Captions, translation, song ID | Yes | Yes |
One download covers iPhone and iPad, on iOS and iPadOS 18 or later. Any modern browser gets the free web player at listen.radiodad.app on top.
One app, one subscription
Radio Dad is free to download. No ads. No tracking. No account. Anonymous usage statistics only, and the radio never asks who you are. If you add Premium, one subscription covers every screen: unlimited Live Captions in 30+ languages with translation into about 20, song lyrics, and Browse and Genres in the car. It is $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, and it follows your Apple ID across iPhone and iPad at no extra cost. There is a free Apple Watch app as well, and CarPlay for the drive.
Questions from the mailbag
Does Radio Dad work on iPad?
Yes. Radio Dad is a native iPad app, part of the same universal download as the iPhone version, so there is nothing separate to buy. On iPad you get a bigger spin-to-tune globe, two-column Discover and Podcasts dashboards when there is room, all four orientations including landscape, and full multitasking with Split View, Slide Over and Stage Manager. It needs iPadOS 18 or later.
Can I run Radio Dad on my Mac?
Radio Dad is built and tested for iPhone and iPad. Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later) can install the iPad version from the Mac App Store, where it is listed as Designed for iPad and not verified for macOS. It may run, but it is not tested on Mac, so I don't promise it. On any Mac, Intel included, the free web player at listen.radiodad.app plays the same stations in the browser.
Is Radio Dad a separate app or purchase for iPad?
No. It is one universal app across iPhone and iPad, free to download. If you subscribe to Premium, for unlimited Live Captions and translation, song lyrics, and in-car Browse and Genres, that one subscription works across your devices through your Apple ID at no extra cost.
Does Radio Dad support landscape and Split View on iPad?
Yes. The iPad app supports all four orientations, including both landscape directions, and it never forces full screen, so you can run it in Split View, Slide Over or Stage Manager and keep the radio playing next to your notes, browser or email.
What do I need to run Radio Dad on iPad?
An iPad on iPadOS 18 or later. The app is free to download, with an optional Premium subscription. A free Apple Watch app is available too, and any modern browser can use the free web player at listen.radiodad.app.
