Apple does the billing, not me. Open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device and pick Radio Dad. Cancel any time; Premium runs to the end of the billing period you paid for. Refund requests go through Apple too.

On purpose. The globe is a dial, not a search box: you spin, you land, you listen. The slowness is what makes landing somewhere feel like finding it. Pinch out and give the planet a big spin to cross an ocean. When you already know what you want, the Search and Discover tabs cover the whole catalog in a tap. The globe is for the nights you don't.

Turn on captions while a station plays and I write out the speech as it happens, then translate it into your language if you ask, in real time. All of it runs on your device, privately. Live Captions is a Premium feature with a free preview so you can try it first. Captions need iOS 26 or later; everything else in the app runs from iOS 18.

Captions can write out speech in more than 30 languages, including Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Hungarian and Hindi. Translation covers a smaller set of about twenty: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

A language outside that set, like Greek or Hungarian, can still be captioned. It just cannot be auto-translated yet. Song identification, lyrics and the rest of the app work in any language. These lists come from Apple's on-device models and grow as Apple adds languages with each iOS update.

On the Globe, spin the planet and whatever station sits under the center crosshair starts playing, no tapping required. Zap flicks you from station to station like a thumb on a dial. Prefer browsing? The Discover tab holds a featured pick, top stations from your country, moods, and what is trending worldwide, and Search covers the whole catalog in a tap.

No CarPlay in your car? A free Driving Mode gives you big, glanceable controls that flip to dark for the cabin, and it can start on its own when your car connects over Bluetooth.

Yes, and the whole thing is free. On the wrist, Radio Dad is a standalone radio: tap a station and it plays straight from your watch, no iPhone needed. Turn the Digital Crown to spin across the globe dot by dot, and start Running Radio to keep playing through a workout. Favorites and history sync over through iCloud.

Live radio never sits still: stations move, change streams, go dark. My directory is built from open, community-contributed listings, and it changes as the community updates them. If a station is consistently broken or sitting on the wrong spot, email the station name to [email protected] and I will look into it.

Very. No account, captions run on your device, and streams play directly from the broadcaster: I never record or relay them. No ads, no tracking, nothing tied to you. Usage statistics are anonymous. The full accounting is in the Privacy Policy.
