Radio Dad

Terms of Service

The rules of the station, read in full. I wrote this one line and nothing else. Everything after it is the agreement itself, word for word.

In plain terms. Radio Dad gives you a way to discover and tune into live radio that other people broadcast. We don't own that audio, can't guarantee a station is always online, and can't be responsible for what broadcasters say. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, and you cancel them in your Apple account. You keep whatever consumer rights your own country gives you, wherever we say these terms are governed. Be reasonable, and we'll do our best to keep the radio playing.

1. Acceptance of these terms

Radio Dad is operated by Tanzi Labs LLC ("Tanzi Labs", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Radio Dad, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. If you use Radio Dad on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.

2. Who may use Radio Dad

You must be at least 13 years old to use Radio Dad, or older if the country you live in sets a higher minimum age for agreeing to terms like these on your own. In the European Economic Area that age is 16 in some member states. If you are under the age where you can enter a contract yourself, you may only use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

Radio Dad plays live radio and podcasts made by independent third parties. We do not curate that audio for children and cannot preview what a station will broadcast next. See section 5.

You also confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

3. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Radio Dad on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law. This license is granted to you, not sold, and we keep every right we have not expressly given you here.

These terms are our own agreement with you and they sit alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two genuinely conflict, Apple's minimum terms win, and section 4 restates the parts of them that affect you most.

4. Apple's role

You got Radio Dad through the App Store, which makes Apple a party worth being explicit about. Apple does not make this app and is not the one you have an agreement with.

  • This agreement is between you and us, Tanzi Labs LLC, not between you and Apple. We alone are responsible for Radio Dad and its content.
  • Support is ours. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support for Radio Dad. Ours is at radiodad.app/support and [email protected].
  • Warranty is ours. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, that is Apple's entire warranty obligation, and anything else is our responsibility.
  • Claims are ours. We, not Apple, handle any claim you or a third party makes about the app or your use of it. That includes product liability, any failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
  • Intellectual-property claims are ours. If someone claims Radio Dad infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending it.
  • Third-party terms still apply to you. You must comply with the terms of any third-party service you reach through the app, including a broadcaster's own terms and, if you use them, Apple Music or Spotify.
  • Apple can enforce these terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and on your acceptance of it Apple has the right to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.

5. Third-party station content

Radio Dad is a directory and player for live radio streams operated by independent third parties. We do not create, own, control, endorse, or pre-screen the audio, advertising, or other content that broadcasters transmit.

  • When you play a station, your device connects directly to that broadcaster's server; the audio does not pass through us.
  • Each broadcast is the responsibility of the broadcaster, including its content, licensing, and any advertising within the stream.
  • Station listings, including names, logos, and stream locations, are drawn from the open radio-browser.info database (CC0) and may contain errors or become outdated.

6. Availability & changes

Live radio is, by nature, unpredictable. Stations may go offline, change their stream, relocate, or stop broadcasting at any time, and connectivity depends on your network. We may add, remove, or change features, stations, or parts of the service at any time. We don't guarantee that any particular station will be available or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Some features, including Live Captions and translation, rely on Apple's on-device technology, and the languages they support depend on your device, your iOS version, and the language itself. That set of languages is provided by Apple and can change over time. A given language may be available for captions but not for translation, or may not be supported yet, so if a specific language matters to you, please check the supported languages on our Support page before subscribing.

7. Subscriptions & billing

Radio Dad offers an optional Premium subscription with additional features. If you subscribe:

  • Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment-card details.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms; please request them through Apple.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Prices and plan details are shown in the app before purchase and may change for future billing periods with notice.
  • If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Because Apple sells the subscription and delivers it immediately, that right is exercised through Apple rather than through us: request it at reportaproblem.apple.com. Starting to use a Premium feature straight away can end the withdrawal right, which is the normal rule for digital content delivered at once.
  • We never see or store your payment details. Card data goes to Apple and never reaches us. What we learn is which plan is active, and section 2 of the Privacy Policy says exactly who else learns it.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Radio Dad. In particular, you won't: use it for unlawful purposes; attempt to record, re-stream, scrape, or redistribute station audio; interfere with or disrupt the app or broadcasters' servers; circumvent geographic or technical restrictions; or use the app in any way that infringes others' rights.

9. Intellectual property

The Radio Dad name, logo, app design, original artwork, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Station names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective broadcasters and are shown only to identify their stations. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of this to you.

10. Broadcaster takedowns

If you are a broadcaster or rights holder and want your station removed from the Radio Dad directory, or you believe a listing infringes your rights, email us at [email protected] with the station name, stream URL, and your relationship to it. We aim to remove valid requests promptly (typically within 48 hours). See the takedown section on our Support page for details.

11. Ending this agreement

You can stop any time. Delete the app and this agreement ends. If you hold a subscription, cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions first, because deleting an app does not cancel a subscription and Apple will keep billing.

We can stop too, but narrowly. Radio Dad has no accounts, so there is nothing for us to suspend on an individual basis. What we can do is stop distributing the app, discontinue a feature, or block abusive traffic from reaching our own edge. We would do the last of those only for the conduct listed in section 8, and it does not stop the app from playing stations, because that audio never passes through us.

If a subscription is running when we discontinue the service entirely, we will say so in the app before it happens, and refunds in that case are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. Sections 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15 survive the end of this agreement.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Radio Dad is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding third-party content or the availability, accuracy, or legality of any station. You use the app at your own discretion and risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Radio Dad and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app or any third-party content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, where Tanzi Labs LLC is formed, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

This does not take away your local consumer rights. If you are a consumer, you keep every mandatory protection the law of your country of residence gives you, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts where that law says you may. For consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, nothing in this section overrides the rules that let you rely on the law and courts of the country you live in. For consumers in Türkiye, your rights under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection are unaffected, including the right to apply to a consumer arbitration committee or consumer court.

Talk to us first. Before any formal step, please email [email protected] with what went wrong. We answer our own mail and most things end there. If that fails, disputes not resolved informally and not covered by the consumer protections above will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we each consent to that venue.

EU consumers who want help from outside can contact their national European Consumer Centre, which advises on cross-border purchases free of charge. We are not obliged, and do not commit, to settle disputes through a consumer arbitration body. (The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, which terms like these used to link to, was shut down on 20 July 2025 and is deliberately not cited here.)

15. General terms

  • Whole agreement. These terms, our Privacy Policy, and Apple's minimum terms referenced in section 4 are the entire agreement between you and us about Radio Dad, and they replace anything said earlier.
  • If part of it fails. If a court finds any part unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the smallest extent needed and the rest stays in force.
  • Not enforcing is not waiving. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor if Radio Dad changes hands, and your rights under these terms and the Privacy Policy travel with it.
  • Language. These terms are written in English. A translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version governs.
  • No third-party rights, with one exception. Nobody other than you and us can enforce these terms, except Apple as described in section 4.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material, we'll update the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Radio Dad after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
