On iPad
The iPad is where the globe stretches out. The planet gets a proper canvas, so tuning feels less like working a phone and more like turning the real thing on a desk. Discover and Podcasts open into two columns when there is room, so you see more of the world at once instead of one long scroll, and detail screens keep their text at a reading width instead of running wall to wall.
It holds all four orientations, so it sits as happily in landscape on a stand or a keyboard as it does upright. And it never forces full screen: run it in Split View, Slide Over or Stage Manager and keep a station playing next to your notes, your browser, your mail. It needs iPadOS 18 or later, and it is the same download as the iPhone app. One purchase of nothing covers both.
On Mac
The app runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs, M1 and later. You get it from the Mac App Store, where it ships as a Designed for iPad app, and it opens in a resizable window on your desktop. Same globe, same Live Captions and translation, same podcasts and song ID, driven with a trackpad and a keyboard. It is the same download and the same subscription as your iPhone, so there is nothing new to buy and nothing new to learn. Park it in a corner of the screen and let the world play while you work.
DAD BEING STRAIGHT WITH YOU
Intel Macs are not supported. The native app needs Apple silicon, an M1 chip or newer. If your Mac is older than that, the web player still has you covered: the globe and the live stations in a browser tab, free, no install, no account.
The web player is not a consolation prize, either. It works in any modern browser on any machine, whether or not you have the app. Every station streams directly from the broadcaster, same as it does everywhere else.
